Green Andaman Travel specialise in tours to Khao Sok. Our Khao Sok tour guides have over fifteen years experience leading small groups to this beautiful location.
There is so much to see and do around the Khao Sok National Park, it is hard to know where to begin. That is why Green Andaman Travel offers the widest variety of Khao Sok tours to meet the requirements of each of our individual guests.
The Khao Sok National park covers a vast area, over 740km2 in total. In the southern portion of the national park you will find the remnants of one of the world’s oldest evergreen rain forests. Stunning limestone mountains break up the dense forest while rivers meander serenely through the valleys.

To the north lies Cheow Lan Lake (Khao Sok Lake). The lake formed by the construction of the Ratchaprapa Dam and covers almost a quarter of the National Park. Again limestone mountains feature prominently, surrounded by the tranquil waters of the lake and more dense jungle.
Residents of Phang Nga and Surat Thani Province consider Khao Sok National Park one of southern Thailand’s gems. Compared with other destinations nearby it still remains relatively undiscovered. Let Green Andaman Travel show you the best Khao Sok tours.
Our Khao Sok Tours
The jungle and rivers of Khao Sok are an ideal location for a number of varied activities. Elephant trekking and bamboo river rating are the two most popular activities. Both offer a relaxing way to sit back and enjoy the scenery. If you are feeling more active there is also the chance to explore the many caves hidden in the limestone rock and get even closer to the abundant nature on our jungle treks.
Khao Sok Rafting Expedition is our most popular Khao Sok tour for those wanting the complete jungle experience. The tour starts in Khao Lak. First stop is at Takua Pa market on the way to Khao Sok. A chance to witness the daily lives of those who inhabit and work off the land around Khao Sok. After that it is time to soak up the jungle with our guide as you are transported down stream on a bamboo raft. A unique addition to our tour is a short coffee break. Here you can trek to explore a nearby cave. However, the real highlight is simply the coffee. The coffee is brewed in a bamboo stick and served in your very own bamboo cup (which you can keep).

After an authentic Thai lunch at a riverside restaurant it is time to head back into the dense undergrowth of the jungle. This time on to the back of an elephant, a very ancient mode of Thai transport. With your elephant guide you will be lead to a waterfall and enjoy snacks and drinks before making your way back to Khao Lak.
If riding an elephant sounds a little too strenuous for a holiday activity then why not consider our popular Khao Sok tour, Khao Sok Lake Explorer. Accessible only by boat, the whole area is free from modern construction, roads and even mains electricity. Activities here are focused more on relaxing, soaking up the scenery and taking a dip in the lake whenever the urge takes you. Of course there are some more active things to do as well.

Departing from Khao Lak, the tour begins with bamboo rafting in the jungle region of Khao Sok. Again stopping for our famous bamboo coffee, a short trek and cave exploration. After an authentic Thai lunch it is time to explore the lake in a traditional Thai longtail boat witnessing some of the best scenery in Thailand. Then it’s time for serious holiday business, a chance to swim and relax in the lake before taking the scenic route back to Khao Lak.
With so much to do in the area, sometimes our day trips are simply not enough if you want to discover all of the magic of Khao Sok.
Green Andaman Travel’s overnight Khao Sok tours are designed to maximise your experience.
Overnight Khao Sok Tours

Khao Sok Jungle Expedition (2day/1night) follows the same itinerary as the Khao Sok Rafting Expedition for the first day. Then, instead of heading back to Khao Lak you stay in the jungle. Accommodation is offered in tree houses so when we say, “you stay in the jungle” you really do stay in the jungle! There is time to relax and yet more delicious Thai food before a night under the tropical forest canopy.
After breakfast, the second day’s highlight is an educational trek through the rain forest followed by lunch and some time to relax before heading back to Khao Lak.
For those wishing to spend more time on the lake, our Khao Sok Lake Expedition (2day/1night) is the Khao Sok tour for you.
The first day follows the same itinerary as the Khao Sok Lake Explorer, then again, when it is time to head back to Khao Lak, instead it is time to check into your floating raft house. You can not get closer to the lake than spending the night asleep floating on it. There is plenty more time to relax and swim in the lake plus an exciting sunset safari by longtail boat.
After breakfast on the second day it’s time for more lake exploration, this time after a short jungle trek and bamboo raft ride to a fascinating coral cave. There’s yet more relaxation time on the lake and lunch is served before it is time to head back to Khao Lak.

With so much on offer maybe it is a tough decision to decide which Khao Sok tour is best for you. If you have the time, why not do all of it? Khao Sok Jungle and Lake Exploration (3day/2night) is Green Andaman Travel’s ultimate Khao Sok tour which covers every aspect of all our Khao Sok tours put together. With one night in the jungle tree house and one night at the floating raft house you will have plenty of chance to soak up everything that makes Khao Sok National Park one of Thailand’s gems.
Green Andaman Travel’s Khao Sok tours follow our simple company philosophy, providing informative and personal tours to small groups of people.
